STOCKHOLM (AP) — Shumi Gerbada of Ethiopia won the Stockholm Marathon on Saturday in 2 hours, 14 minutes, 7 seconds, and Sweden's Isabellah Andersson took the women's title for the fourth straight year.
Gerbaba broke away from Dominic Pius Ondoro of Kenya in the last few miles of the 26.2-mile race. Pius Ondoro was second in 2:14.23 and fellow Kenyan Kenneth Korir was third.
Andersson became the first woman to have won the race four times, finishing in 2:37.28. Eri Okubo of Japan was second in 2:38:58.
A total of 16,131 runners entered the city's 33rd marathon
